Didn't want to hijack the other head gasket thread.

Should I run a stock head gasket or a .020? I will be replacing head bolts with a set of Mighty Diesel headbolts and want to go ahead and replace my HG while it's apart. I know I need to get my head decked but don't know which HG to get.

Also you should know the reason I'm upgrading head bolts. Future, (as in next week or so) upgrades are a phatshaft 62 (or silver 64), 4k gsk, 5x.014 (150hp) sticks, 18* timing, maybe one or two other things that I can't think of at the moment.

So in recap, what HG, and which turbo would you suggest?

One more question, I saw somewhere online a .082 thickness HG. Ever heard of this? It was Cummins brand.

Almost forgot, anyone know a place in the Fort Worth area to get my head decked and possibly o ringed?

use the oem Cummins factory HG, and those bolts, sounds like a good combo to me ..... he mailed me and of course I just bought ARP'S .... but either way .... as far as the turbo the 62 will probably spool faster and be less smokey off the line .... the 64 will be smokey at line and more in top end .... depends on converter, gearing, and whatu intend on doing with the truck ....
