I sold my stock turbo. What would be a good single? And what would be a good twin setup? If I sold the 64. Do you think I should go up to 150 hp injectors?

If u wanted a single I would get the S300 ( 62/64/14)..... seen a few with around 450 -475ish , and 150's would be far too much..... for daily driving ..... get some stock 215 injectors and look into a quality set of dilevery valves..... keep i mind ur gonna need more fuel pump too.... not sure if your prepred for that too....

I have ddp 90"s. Are they not better than the 215 stock injectors. I bet the truck is making over 400hp right now. It's just in the higher rpms.

Do I have to get the pump lowed if I got some laser cut delivery valves from schied diesel? It says it flows 30cc more than 191dvs. What size would be recommended to make the horse power I want?

What did turbo2332 mean by I was limited with what I could do with my mods?

4x4manonbroke 10-18-2013 05:11 PM

Ah, didn't know u had 90's ... those shoupd about the same as 215's .... good on dv's , I believe he was refering to the amount of air volume u would be able to flow with that particular turbo ... but the s300 is nice, the ht3b would work good witht the s300 also, if u still want twins. ...

fuel system supporting mods, fuel lines, pump, pressure, OFV, sump or draw straw? ect ect
to run a big single its nice to have head work, you have a cam very nice plus but what size is it?
GAUGES!
has the injection pump been on a bench lately?
deliver valves (you DO NOT want full cuts).
how much money have you spend on your transmission?
you have valve springs what about retainers and keepers to keep things together @ higher rpms? you dont make 500hp @ 2000rpms. lol
have you messed with injection pump timing?

90hp injectors work GREAT with a 62/65/14 and work very well with a 62/71/14. if you really want 500hp i would do a 71mm turbine charger. if you can be happy with say 450, more is possible i would strongly recommend a 62/65. the larger the compressor the more weight you add the bigger the bite of air and the slower it will spool and the more it will surge. for 400-500 hp i would stay with a 62 or 63mm wheel. the 63's are super popular right now but its more of a bragging thing.

im not a huge fan of ht3b's they are very old technology. they have like 24cm housings, VERY heavy compressors ect. they are inefficient to say the least. HOWEVER they do work for compounds and a brand new one can be had out the door for like $550. they are dirt cheap but there are way better options out there if your wallet is fat enough. for 500 hp i wouldn't @ all think about compounds. if you wanted to street 700hp than your only option would be compounds. because a single capable of that much hp takes FOREVER to light, similar to the charger your a fighting right now.:c:

I just have stock dv's. Would I need to get the pump flowed if I got the ones from shied diesel?

turbo2332 10-18-2013 06:49 PM

no not at all but your pump was originally built for 180 hp and not very many cc's of fuel. when you start messing with things, things tend to get a little out of wack. its nice to have a balanced pump for the piece of mind and your truck will run better. if you dont have issues with your pump you DO NOT have to put your pump on a stand.

its a well oiled machine thing.

You can install your own Dv's, its not real hard to do , just one special socket and a torque wrench is all one will need for this, oh and I guess you'll need a 3/4 line wrench socket to torque the delivery lines back to pump- dont wanna just crank them down , can split the lines and or the seats that way .. :td:

ClintD. 10-18-2013 09:21 PM

What size dv's should I get?

4x4manonbroke 10-18-2013 10:00 PM

I would get 191's .... will be more than enough ... i think the 180 pump comes with 131's

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

the 215/235 pump (# 887 ) will come with 191 Dv's
