Engine flutter

I just recently installed all the stuff in my sig. It flutters a lot. It acts like it isn't getting enough fuel. My timing was at 18. Would anyone suggest bumping it up more? Should I take out the fuel plate? Any info would help.

Sounds like air in fuel .... some where

How do you know if air is in it? And how do you fix that?

begin with the most obvious issues, like filters and thier housings and begin going through and eliminating each filter/housing one by one.... then go to the Return line and begin checking there, also put a guage in so we can all know how much fuel pressure you have ... even a gas guage ( for gasoline ) will work in a pinch .... keep posted :pca1: :c:

Do you think it could be a fueling problem. It has a cold start problem. After that goes away it acts like it's not getting enough fuel to accelerate properly. The guy who did the work is saying the cold start is because of the injectors. And removing the fuel plate or buying a tst fuel plate would fix the fuel problem. And to work with the timing. When I bought the truck it had a cold start problem so I advanced the timing to 18 and moved the plate forward some and it fixed the problem. Should I advance it more and remove or get a new fuel plate?

If ur having a fuel supply issue a fuel plate will onky aggregate the issue more as it will demand more fuel from IP and LP...

Need to get some fuel pressure numbers to start doing accurate diagnostic , other wise its just shooting inthe dark.... might get lucky , but at what price ?

Fuel supply will start with filters, return valve, then lift pump....... in that order only , then post and let us know.:tu:

Got it all worked out. The timing was off. That fixed the cold start and engine flutter. I had the fuel plate worked over with a grinder. Found a fuel leak on one of the injectors but it was just loose. The turbo is too big though. When it lights up it will put you back in your seat though.
