A place to add oil?
My 12 valve has an after market timing cover that was added by the previous owner. Only problem is, it did away with the filler neck, and to put oil in the engine you have to take one of the smaller plates off of the timing cover, and it's a real PITA. I saw a picture the other day where a guy put a filler cap on one of the valve covers, and I've always thought of this, but didn't know if it would work or not.
Would this be an ok thing to do? I need to figure something out cuz what I'm doing now takes forever! Haha Thanks! |
Yes, the valve cover with the oil fill you speak of can easily be put on your engine. You can find cheap ones on Ebay, or a few websites sell them new such as Pure Diesel Power.
