Putting a 727 in a 1994 2500 4x4

Needing some advice and help my 47rh is crapping out and having a hard time finding another one or a master rebuild kit. Was told I could use a 727 and it would bolt right in will it and what do I need to do

Finding another one might be hard, but you can find rebuild kits easy. Look on Ebay, it uses the same clutches as the 47re. I wouldn't put a 727 in there, these trucks need more gears, not less. What is your transmission doing?

yeah a 727 would be pointless ...:td:

It's slipping in fourth gear pulled the pan and there was clutch material in the pan

its not too much more difficult than building 727 ... just don't attempt to pull the OD apart .... 800# spring will knock you on ur ass :ouch:

the forward half is easy ... buy a master kit , build the front half your self, have a local shop do the OD, and stuff it back in ... set ur line pressures around 175 and you should be happy .... and it will last :tu:
