Default Silver bullet 62 wont light?

My problem is I just installed a silver bullet 62 and I cant get it to light until about 1800-2000 in any gear. And its smoking pretty hard. Is that just the nature of the beast with these turbos? All I know about it is the tag says "sliver 62/80"

Yup sometimes that just the nature of the beast, if you are at lower altitudes such as seal level it will do ok or better, but the higher you are the longer it takes to light. Honestly having a big turbo like that is useless unless all you do is drag race or pull, for DD the lag is proabably unbearable for me.

what else do you have done to the truck? a 62/74/14 is gonna take some fuel and RPM's to get going on a 12 valve. you should be able to make it work pretty good for you but your gonna have to play with it. the 74mm wheels are nice but 16mm larger than stock, they are big and heavy to get going, work awesome on the common rail stuff but tricky for the old stuff.

well I have 6x.09 injectors flowed to 6x11 3k gssk south bend dd clutch 16* of timing Then just the free pump work with no plate. But I am at 4400 ft elevation so I think if I put a plate back in it it may spool a little quicker?

im confused....your signature said stock clutch? but that dont matter anyway, but if you put the fuel plate back in its going to be even harder to light, i have a super phatshaft 66 and it lights at 2k rpm with 370's and 024 delivery valves and a 0 plate, just the nature of the beast

Ya I haven't updated it yet sorry. and that's when this one lights is 2k no matter what. and I figured from who ive talked to they say that a fuel plate would help spool it.

just the elevation alone would hurt it.
