intermittant cranking issue '98 12 valve manual
Ive got a problem with my dodge, and im betting others have had this too.
about 70% of the time when I turn the key to start, nothing happens. 30% of the time it cranks and fires off, but most of the time I have to pop open the fuse block and jump the starter relay, and manually lift the fuel shutoff lever.
I thought it was a bad relay, nope. Ive taken the fuse block apart looking for bad connections and I thought I found some, but didnt change anything. im wondering if the main harness plug into the fuse block is bad, if I smack around in the fuse block I can get it to crank.
I probably have it figured out , but what Im hoping is others have had the same problem and fixed it some other way.
A little info on the truck:
300k+ miles
used to be an auto, converted to manual (checked the clutch kill switch already)
new starter
new fuel solenoid
