injector help!!
with all the mods i have done with the stock turbo will i be ok running industrial injection stage 2 injectors of is that too much fuel for the hx35??
egts will get higher and lots more smoke
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- if your going to put in injector i would recommend guages at least boost and pyro |
What size and brand would you recommend. And I'll be buying glowshift triple pillar boost fuel pressure and egt
why glowshift? cause there pretty and cheap? you get what you pay for and those are crap. 5x12's are a lot for the stock turbo. buddies truck is running stockers with a special and they work just fine. i would say a good clean set of 215 injectors if you plan to stay with the stock turbo or no more than 5x12's if you plan on a bigger charger in the future. the later can become very hot very quick with the stock charger.
i agree with turbo2332 glowshift are cheap and aren't worth crap! i bought glowshift cause they were cheap :argh: and my fuel psi and egt gauges quit working after a year, about a month after the warrenty ran out so i replaced them with autometer best i've money spent!
you could run 40hp injectors and be safe
what about these? cummins 12v injectors :humm:
core charge is around $150. those will be 215 injectors they are something like 5x10.5's they work well and you can make quite a bit of HP with them. if you buy these from the guy i would jew him down a bit and have the injectors pop tested just so you know what is going on with them. we charge like $6 each for a mechanical injector. should be similar across the country.
so you think they would be better than gettin some ii 80horse ones? and how much would you pay for em?
depends on what you want your truck to do. stock 215 injectors will run very clean can produce well over 400hp and retain good fuel economy. 80 hp injectors will be able to produce more hp will run hotter smoke more and you will get less mpg (most likely)
well my goal for the moment, is to just gain a little more hp, aka pullin power and cruising. but im really skeptical because i dont want to blow something up or you know. and not having to buy another turbro right away.... so would a reasonable offer be like 120?
ide give him a shinny $100 bill and take a spare $20 with me just in case. explain to him that you have to spend money on them to get them all checked out
alright thanks for the help!!
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- he is mad..... ha. he said 150? |

Might explain why my HG is leaking ...lol ... right under the thermostat housing .... didn't know that I should have done studs then worked up all the goodies ... like exhaust and timing ...ECT .... Mine is @15.5* 3 pc manifold ( DPS X manifold ) , 5" diamond eye straight , AFE 6x10" cone , plate FF , good afc adjustments ( only lil smoke and small amount of haze @ FT ) .. I must admit .. it has 4.10's and 265/75/16's ... left my buddy in his trans am at 3 stop lights in a row... my sew converter is real nice ... kicked his ass every time ..LOL :rocking: :hellox: |
what do you have for injectors?
We have 5x.0115 SAC that will offer a little less power and smoke than 5x.012. They are extrude honed.
So do you think my stock charger will be able to handle those?
yes, if driven with sense.
stock 215 injectors .... engine was really stock when I got it minus the 3K GSK that was installed
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- 215 stock injectors .... this truck was stock besides the 3K GSK that they had installed.... then I did all the mods .... 3pc manifold 5" straight exhaust timing up to 15.5 - from 12.5 big AFE filter and set up ... now running Royal purple 15/40 synthetic seems to be running better now .... just wondering what approx numbers I could see with out fuel plate .... my egt's get a bit high with out the plate .... and I recently lifted head ... so now I'm readying to do the HG and studs |
