Just getting Started 98 12V

I have a 1998 12V 4X4 Quad cab. I am about to sink a little money into this truck. So far I have DDP Fuel plate set a 25% FWD, 4" straight pipe, I have an Stage 2 AFE Intake system on the way. I want to get a High Ram Intake manifold and DDP 75HP Injectors. I am wanting to improve fuel mileage, increase the longjevity of this motor which is already sitting at 342000 miles. I am going to take it to Georgia Diesel to get it timed. I am currently using XDP as my parts provider. I need sugestions and guidence on all of this. Is there any parts provider that is cheaper? Any recomendations on Intake manifold? Would DDP injections compair equally to something else at a cheaper rate. I need help. I want to make this truck last and still have the power to pull hell out of the ground if I want.

If you know exactly what you want, you can get price quotes from our vendors here in the armory, and usually they can save you some money. Good luck.

This won't be engine-related, but, by this time, all your vacuum tubing will be 15 years old, as is your front axle's CAD unit. Do yourself a favor and get the cable-actuated replacement unit. Mine came from these guys: 4x4 Posi-Lok - 4WD Engagement Systems I like it a lot. The only weirdness is that "full engagement" is, like, a one-inch knob travel, and "not-quite" can feel pretty similar. Once you're used to that, however, it's quite comforting to know that your axle is coupled, until you want it uncoupled, and not just because some twig or piece of wildly-bouncing random road debris disconnected a vacuum line.
