fuel shutoff solenoid
My fuel shutoff solenoid will not pull. It will however stay up if I pull it up by hand, it will also push by itself once key is off. I replaced solenoid and it does the same. Seems like electrical issue. Any ideas on where to start?

Check the relay, it should be on the firewall.
Yep I would try the relay also but there are 2 relays and they are on the driver side of the fire wall just above the valve covers
check the circuit between the starter solenoid and the pull circuit, it should pull when cranking
After replacing the solenoid it still only works about 90% of the time. The times it won't start I have to push it up manually. Could it still be a relay problem?
Yeah, could be.

If you buy junky shit from autozone or checkers ect ect or even napa it's a crap shoot if your parts are going to work especialy with electrical parts
