1995 cummins engine removal?s
Hey all My buddy has a 95 i believe and he is in the process of swapin out engines. I can see that it is going to be a tight fit coming out so I thought I would ask you fellars for any tips on the removal process. It is 4x4 with an auto and he is swapin to the nv4500 out of his wrecked pickup. Thanks, Chad.

Removing the upper portion of the core support and the coolers would be the way to go, make sure you have a stout picker or forklift. :c:

I pulled mine out through the front, All coolers removed, as well as the top radiator support. I did mine with a fork lift.

very straight forward, might be one on the simplest removals I have ever done. only difference mine has a manual behind it.
You can easily do it with a cherry picker. pull radiator/core support remove the valve cover trim and the rear most valve cover once you have the engine suspended off the frame, unbolt the engine mounts from the block. it'll come out like a morning crap after a taco bell dinner.:tu: |
