Valve body or shift kit?

Hi everyone new to this page, just recently bought a 97 reg cab 2500 auto with 130k. Now I hear all this talk about shift kits and valve bodies.

What is better or should I do both?

what exactly is your intention, do you have any issues with shifting or just looking for a little performance edge?

Well I would like to give it a little more power down the road. I was going to do the tranny first and work my way to the motor. I do a lot of towing and plowing as well.

I was told shift kits are cheaper or something and tc's are good to do too.

Any good brands?
Which should I do first?

Diesel Dawgs Performance 02-19-2013 07:55 AM

I would do them at same time honestly.

Ok thanks for your help!
What are some companies that are good to look into?

Diesel Dawgs Performance 02-19-2013 08:54 AM

I prefer DPC or DTT Torque Converters. And Suncoast or DTT Valvebodys
