Transmission problems HELP!!!
Hello i have a 94 2500 2wd cummins....when i take off it seems to not wanna go, kinda like its taking off in 2nd gear...give it alittle more gas and it feels like it actually does shift down..if your steady moving and give it some throttle it doesnt act like it wants to go..then if your going down the interstate around 70mph it will jump in and out of lock up...this is my first diesel and im not that familiar with it...i had my buddy look at it and drive it and he said its not the tranny it could be the tps etc...also the previous owner took the fuel plate out and my buddy said it should be running around 50-60psi and rolling way more coal then what it is...once it is in lock up and you get into the pedal it hits 38psi and shifts down? any information will help thanks

I kinda skimmed your post and i was thinking TPS, need to take a look at what the inputs are from the TPS , if the signals are skewed it can greatly impact your shiftpoints and how your trans does its job
on the other hand having crappy take off points at a worn out TC , I would take a look at my fluid in my pan if the tps does not provide a conclusive diagnosis good luck scott:hellox: |
might wanna check the downshift cable .... this also affects your shift pattern.. if the cable is sticking it could make it interesting to drive :humm:
