Okay i have talked to 13 people and 7 4x4 shops that do body lifts and all i get is no no no it can't be done...
i am one who thinks if there is a will theres a way so that being said, tell me how and what i will need to do.. the truck is a 1997 dodge 2wh 3500 cummins i lifted the cab 3'' over the weekend nothing went wrong and then i lowered back down, the intercooler will have to be worked with but THAT IS ALL I CAN SEE . everyone says can't be done there has got to be a way to do this please help with any ideas:humm::humm: |
Why are you looking at doing a body lift?
i am thinking of hauling a trailer weekly from fl to ky and i found this truck low low miles on it and one owner it just sits to low and to trailer towers over it i really would like to be up higher in the cab
What about leveling the front?
i had just read up online where some guy had mover his fan up 3'' on his block the cummins had bolt holes a bit higher on the front on there blocks and add a longer 3'' pipe to intercooler and i just can't see how this can't be done??
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- i did but it got me maybe 1.5 higher not much ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- check this out 3 inch body lift with stock fan. - Competition Diesel.Com - Bringing The BEST Together |
My leveling kit got me 2.5", and with air bags in the back I can haul my trailer with the truck at it's normal height.
I would go with RAWwilliam's setup. RAWilliams, where did you get your air bags and leveling kit? How much did it run you?
His truck is a 2 wheel drive vs. 4 so the suspension and everything is different
I wouldnt run a body lift on anything unless it was made by raising the steel mounts on the frame and was solid with stock thickness bushings :nope:
are those 22.5 wheels safe to run and pull hevy trailers with
