What do I need to do? Built Tranny

Hey guys, it's another one of those questions... And because of that I apologize. I'm currently in the process of buying a 1994 12v single cab automatic with 148,000 miles from a guy on Craigslist for 4800. Good deal eh? Well the overdrive isn't working he said. And the crank seal leaks. First off.
- how much would it be to fix these two things?

And in planning on building my cummins. 5in exhaust, intake, fuel plate, 4k gsk, bigger injectors, afc running. The norm. Under my understanding the auto tranny won't hold for that much power. Correct? So
-what do I have to do to the tranny to get it to hold that hp?
-just a master rebuild kit?

And sense I'm going to get the overdrive fixed, would building it up fix that problem? Cause I don't wanna fix it stock, then pay again to build it up.

Please let me know what you think costs would be .
Thanks guys, I'm eager to learn more!!

And I'm also not looking to buy a fully built transmission that's gunna run me 4,000. But I would like a tough tranny. What hp rating good I expect for under 2,000?

When my overdrive went out on my truck I had to get the whole overdrive unit rebuilt and it does fine it cost about 450 bucks...

if your o/d dosent work it prob you tps. search pot mod they are very easy and cheap to make you can also buy one already made, i made one the other day for my dump it works great and i can choose when the od kicks in by just turning the nob! the seal is cheap just a pain to get to.... as for the trans id run it till it dies then do a master rebulild with a good t/c and either a v/b or a shift kit..thats prob the cheapest way.. hope that helps good luck!
