No Power, Gutless

Hello I posted here because i have a p pump. I have a 1992 bluebird bus with a 1st gen 5.9 with the p7100 injection pump. I purchased this bus the way it is. I drove it home and this thing is gutless. It takes off fine but any slight incline it starts lossing mph. On the interstate it will not get out of its own way, will only get up to 60. I have changed the fuel filters and air filter also looked for broken lines on the engine and injection pump. Anywhere to start looking? No i dont have a boost guage but you can hear the turbo spooling up nicely. Thanks for looking.....

Have you done a compression test on it? Also have you checked for boost leaks?

I didn't do a compression test but I did check for any boost leak. I found none. Can I spray soapy water in the fins of the inner cooler to check for a leak without hurting anything.

should be no problem there at all..one other thing to check is the little hose that runs from the intake manifold over to the AFC housing. If there's a break in it, the injection pump won't up-fuel when the boost rises, and you'll hit a very low threshold of not-much-power, due to very little fuel being sent thru the injectors

I checked that hose among many others and can't find a boost leak. Could there be a problem with the waste gate or is there a way to tell if someone turned down the p pump cause it came from a preschool.

:argh: Spraying the cooler will not do much unless the truck is on a dyno or under load. Free running will not supply much boost.:c:
