1997 cummins

Ok so I was browsing around and found this

1997 dodge ram 2500 4wd 5 speed the truck has a airdog fuel system and 20 inch wheels the only thing wrong with it is the transmission is already out and the third gear is out of it it will cost around 500.00 to fix it and the body is fair and the interior is fair its painted flat black asking 5000.00 obo

Good deal???

Around 200,000 miles it says

i agree front end could be a deal breaker but if its tight you wouldnt have a smoking deal but its reasonable and dont just look at tie rod ends and trac bar throw a pry bar under the wheel check them ball joints give the u-joints a jiggle that shit adds up$$$$$$$ you could throw 500 bucks in the front end easy and time sometimes its just not worth it wheel bearings its not uncommon for all that shit to be bad and that will set you back believe me lol

I'm in nc and cummins are HIGH here... Here's a pic of it... Looks nice. This is the cheapest one I have found, an is actually really nice for the price. Just to give an example, a 1990 regular cab dually 2wd auto is going for $5,000. One that is comparible to this one runs $7500-10000 so even if the front end does need some attention it would still be cheaper. Plus it's already slightly modded

the 89-93 cummins 4wd front ends are tough. my 91 still is tight with 190k on it.

there is a 92 extended cab 4x4 5 speed for $7000 with 265,xxx on it, but id rather have something a little newer (easier to find parts and mods) Plus the guy with the 97 is interested in trading for a boat possibly. i got a 22ft cuddy cabin imma try to trade him with a little cash.
