Whining noise
Having some issues pinpointing a whining sound that seems like its coming from under the hood. The sound varies with rpm, but I don't see a lack of power rowing through the gears. So far I have checked the power steering fluid level, replaced idler puller, bypassed the a/c compressor with a new serp belt. The truck has 220,000 on it, stock p-pump.
I did not notice the whining sound until after I put a push-pull lever in place of the fuel shut off solenoid when it went bad. Any info would help before I started taking nuts and bolts loose. Thanks

So I did some more investigating today driving down the road. While cruisin I pushed in the clutch and the noise faded away. Depress the clutch and there the whining noise is again. I know its a bearing but has anyone had an issue like this around this mileage with a nv4500?
you know its funny i keep hearing this noise couldnt figure it out, (probably nothing to do with your issue but)... it was my sliding window in the back was a little bit open closed it and it went away....
Hey everyone, found out what the noise was. . . the simple principle that sound travels through pipe, hence the fuel shut-off cable I installed. Mounted it on the hydra-boost assembly and all vibration went away.
