Oil coming out of dipstick?

Hey guys. I've been looking around and found a few threads on oil coming out the top of the dipstick. But they are all talking about the oil constantly coming out. My notice it when I am running my truck at high RPMs like 2500 like on the highways. It won't do it if I'm putting around town.

There is air coming out of the breather tube below the motor, no oil comes out without the oil fill off, no vacuum leaks found yet, the o ring on the dipstick seems fine but will replace.
The truck is a 95 3500 4x4 auto 12 valve with 213k miles.

Thanks in advance!

Building up too much pressure. Need to relieve pressure. Sounds like rings. You can add a filter on top of valve cover. Drill tap pipe thread and thread in a small filter. Get you through till you rebuild. 5.9l can only create pressure through head gasket or rings

My question is also what is the oil level at on your truck? my two cents is I had a lift pump fail on a 4bt cummins and I had oil comming out and it was the fuel leaking out of the lift pump into the crankcase...

heres a trick to tell first... Just to make sure.

Unscrew your oil filler cap and just place it on top. Does it get blown off?

Cool thanks guys. I can vent it for now.

The oil was a little low. (Bottom of the mark)

I will try to just set the cap on top in the morning and get back to ya.

Sorry I assumed that the valve cover would be removed before being drilled but need to make myself clearer. Make sure you don't drive with that cap vented or you're gonna make a mess. The filter on top will keep your truck clean till you're ready to proceed with more work.

I'm just going to add a filter to one if the valve covers. Does it matter which valve cover or does one vent more than others?

It doesn't matter which cover, they all go back to reservoir. The only way to find out your exact problem would be to start with a compression test for each cylinder. If your engine is stock and depending on what horsepower your running you should be between 320 and 360lbs of pressure. If lower than that you could adjust your valves and make a second pass. If low compression you have ring or valve problems. Your engine smokin' any?

all that is normal, mine has 300k an does the same thing with breathers on valve covers,
