How can i tell if i have light or heavy duty axles
|
You have a dana 60 front and the rear is a D70 if you have an automatic or a D80 if you have a 5 speed :c:
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- No light duty axles with the Cummins:nope: |
ok cool thanks

can anyone explain why my truck has a D70 front ?
i was thinking it was a D60, but an "dana expert" read the number on it as a D70, but it has all the stock spring mounts and 4link mounts... |
:humm: Is your dana expert an expert or just someone who says he is :w2:

Some older Dodges had D70's I'm not aware of any 2nd gens with 70's from the factory but maybe it's an overseas thing :humm: :c:

haha, i was so intensively aspired to get to know this...
contacted all previous owners, first owner upgraded the front axle to a D70 for towing reasons, not sure what he was towing but i guess he felt the need for a stronger axle.. so nobody needs to worry that their 2500 has a D70 up front, hehe... D80 rear came stock... guess it's because it's a manual... |
