ok gotcha ya thats we get here in the winter and it sounds like we have similar road conditions. I am just worried if an intake would suck in to much crap.

How is the icebox intake? Ive read a few reviews and it seems to be one of the preferred

What part of AK ? I had a bhaf and I cut up an round wastebasket to make a water/ mud shield. It's still faces the opening in the inner fender, but now I'm running a cheapo spectre come filter from orielies. It looks good, sounds great, and seems to work just fine and I drive in very dusty environments in the summer( screening plants/gravel crushers in large gravel pits, long gravel roads.) when it gets dirty I toss it and buy another.

for the time being it was just a filter off the turbo now it is back up by the fire wall. same kind of filter though. the stocker is holding you back.
