Do 4x4 injection pumps fit 2x4 trucks?
I am comsidering buying a 95 dodge dually with a cummins that needs an injection pump. The truck is a 2wd stick shoft. The junkyard down the road from me has a 96 cummins 3/4 ton diesel with a 4wd auto setup. The junkyard owner wants 400 bucks and I can return it if it does not work. When I called napa auto parts, they said a grand for it, but they asked if the truck was 2wd or 4wd. Is there a difference?

No, the truck at the junkyard is an auto and the truck I want to buy is a manual.

Yes it will work, the parts house kids dont realize when your asking for a common part that it doesnt matter if its 2wd or 4wd only time you really need to worry about that is when it comes down to axels, trannies and front end parts:tu:

Thats what I figured. I once called them about getting somethimg for the interior of the same bpdy style truck and imstead of asking for thhe color of the fabric, they asked if I had power or electric seats. The sad part was I asked for a dash!
