oil leaking out of my front axle???
there is oil leaking from the front axle drive shaft that connects to the wheel? is it a seal? :argh:
its on my 1996 auto in my sig |
More than likely it will be the front pinion seal.
This video should help you out. |
Your post is confusing because you say drive shaft, axle and by the wheel. If it is where the front driveshaft (coming from transfer case going to front differential) then it is the front pinion seal and the above video will help you out. I believe you are talking about a seal leaking where the axle knuckles are by the front hub/wheel assembly. If so, yes there are seals aroung the axles and they will leak. Hopefully it is a pinion seal though because axle seals are a PITA, good luck.
