a couple questions

I recently bought a 97 3500 with only 59000 miles. Its been sitting up for a while. While running it has a pretty bad oil leak coming from the front of the motor. I heard some say the timing cover might be cracked. What all is involved in changing that out? Also what should it idle at? This idles around 400 rpms some times and will go dead every do often when I go from reverse to drive. Thanks any help

Turn the idle screw up. There are plent of videos on youtube on how to do it. Its should be at 750 or 800 WITH the A/C on high. As for the timing cover i have never done one, mines
Been changed out by the previous owner:jump: but im sure some one will chime in with some helpful info!:c:

Goodluck buddy!

To replace the timing case u have to pull the rad, intercooler, bumper, cam, and injection pump.
