EGR delete on a 07 LBZ?

Well first off tryin to make the truck a bit louder, gonna go with a 4" straight pipe to a 7" stack, plus my EGt's get a lil hot so the 4" is there for more than sound, but a buddy of mine said an EGR delete would change the sound of my truck? I've never heard of this so a little info would be cool, and what pro's/con's are there with an EGR delete?

egr delete keeps the soot out of your intake, keeps from gumming up your valves, etc

it can improve your mpgs too as your engine will receive more fresh air and not exhaust

it is not likely to change the sound of the exhaust any

+1

no change in sound as it has nothing to do with the exhaust flow through the muffler

I didn't notice an increase in mpg's with my block plate, the biggest change can't be seen or felt, its just nice to know it's there

How hard are they to do the egr deletes and is it worth it to do a pcv reroute?

BriteWhiteRam 07-16-2012 08:02 PM

an EGR block plate isn't too bad, its a little bit of a fight but not terrible

the PCV re-route is worth it IMHO:hellox:

are there kits that reroute everything?

All Seasons sells everything that you would need. PCV reroute and full EGR delete would be the best way and they do make a difference.

Ok so after alot of research ive found that pcv reroutes can cause problems, so im just gonna dlete the whole egr system. what kind of kits are there and how pricey are they?
