Default what tune

I have had the edge, and added the hot unlock. Sold it and went with the ppe hot et, much stronger but you will need other mods to get full potential of all the power levels. I am selling mine for efi live, but not because I don't like it.

For out of the box tunes I'd go with PPE. But if you want real power go with EFI live.

Real software tuning is key to reliable performance. Provided you don't over extend your truck capabilities. Mod it and tune it accordingly. EFI live you could have the laptop connected. change from one tune file to the next. Like have a file for towing, Racing, or just regular day to day driving. PPE is one of the best in basic plug and play flash tuning. EDGE really might have excellent features and shift parameters , but it is still a basic tune from the company, that uses the same truck to test the tunes. Not all trucks are created equal, and not all trucks are bombed the same. if you want only gauge features Quadzila has a better set up. If i could remember what model it was?

How much tuning experiance does your friend have? It's fine, if your just learning. I just hope you have somebody near by, that can make sure your doing it right. if he is experianced! You have a real good friend! Don't step on his dinner! LOL
