what can i do for more black smoke and no tuner

Im with these guys.. you arent going to smoke like a cummins without alot of work.. The duramax is a well tuned truck and makes just as much power with little to no smoke when done properly.
That being said.. anything that adds fuel at a low enough RPM to prevent your turbo from spooling up, will create black smoke.

My duramax will smoke like a freight train with the juice set on hot, of course elevation may be part of the problem. I agree smoke just looks dumb coming from a duramax and would rather not have it.
do that trick the cummins guys do with the maf sensor. smoke switch i think its called. but beware it will kill your turbo especially those VGT vanes with all the raw fuel soot going over them. not good for it.

Ur Truck puts out Clean power less smoke means that ur turning more fuel into power instead of dumping it... i like smoke but your loseing money and power with it
