Air Horns... need help
 

Lookin to get air horns for my 07 duramax lbz. i want to get the real deal with the compressor and everything. but dont know much about em, anyone out there help me out??

hornblasters.com has tons of stuff, expect to pay more than you thought for a real good , loud set, but they will be the favorite thing on your truck. well to you anyway, neighors, slowpokes, double wide bicyclists........ they won't think as highly for some reason ? :humm:

mount the storage take as close as ya can to the horns...............mount the horns slightly downhill so water wont freeze em up

Trucktrainhorns.com is a cool site, also go to utube and type in train horns and truck train horns there is a ton a videos so you can hear the different type of horns. I would have put a link up for ya but I don't know how.:argh:

also dont mount the compressor on the firewall.........................very noisy :madd:

I would get a compressor that works at 150 psi minimum and at least a 3 gallon air tank. IMHO the set ups where the compressor is mounted in the side of the air tank are useless because you only have about .8 gallons of air storage. Spend the money on a good, name brand compressor that can take a lot of duty cycles. Use 3/8 line or bigger to get good sound.

Siege Engineering or Hornblasters make good kits but expect to pay at least $400 for a good kit.

With your Duramax you'll most likely be mounting everything under the front side of the bed so quality components are a must in those conditions.

i plan on mounting the horns right behind the grill, i have a billet grill so ppl still wont see em haha. but is it not a good idea having the horns mounted behind the grill when the tank and compressor is under the bed?? bc its so far away??

everywhere i look all i see is train horns and marine horns, i dont want any of that i just want truck horns but i cant find them.

i have my compressor mounted on my block, 7 gallon tank mounted between my stacks and horn under my bed, but there off a peterbuilt
