there are many Garrett turbochagers out there on duramaxes and Powerstrokes, and all seem to last a long time on well maintained vehicles, Mine has 100k miles on it and it is still going strong:rocking:

If you're going to stay more or less stock and not throw a lot of power at it, ditch the PCV and the EGR, leave the stock turbo, and make sure you let it cool down after long runs. From others opinions, a cheetah turbo seems to be a good, near stock option too.

well i had a buddy that was into tryin any thing he put a 150 horse john deer turbo on his cummins and never had trouble it was amazin how much more power he had:rocking:

I wouldnt be throwing just any old tractor turbo on my Duramax, the stock unit is good for at least 500rwhp:pca1:
