well i am in need of a plan...
well ok guys i have psted on here a couple of times now and have been saving up my money and been doing some research on some parts and things but i still cant come up with a solid plan to reach my goal....
my goal is to reach 600hp and be as bullet proof as possible i have a stock lly and dont plan on lifting it. i want to keep it a street sleeper. i love going out on the town and smashing down the throttle and blowing the doors off of little cars that dont think that a heavy truck will keep up with the rice grinder..... i got a programmer came with the truck when i bought it edge juice with attitude. but what im looking for is a list of things to do or a just a build plan. ttyl |
IMO Minimum:
1. Built transmission 2. EFI Live Tune 3. Lift pump 500hp seems to be about the limit you want to go with a stock motor. Start saving for a rebuild of your motor if you run at 600hp all the time.:tu: |
agreed, the rods and head gaskets will be taking a dump at 600hp:choochoo:

so if i do he trans wha should i get i see the GMAX kit has awsome reviews but i heard allison makes an after market trans that is just as good what should i pick and im looking to get more boost from the stock turbo i can only get 22 psi and that is with the programmer turned up but i dont notice a diffference in anything except the tourque when i dial up the programmer i can get 22 psi with the truckin in milage mode? but ge the same 22 psi in extreme mode? why is that? more fuel more boost? right?:humm:

with the lly and newer engines boost can be electronically controlled.
with a tune, exhaust, intake trans and efi live, lift pump the ruck can run high 12's in the quarter. without the trans your looking at mid/high 13's |
