EFI live tune from a reputable tuner. I'd block off your EGR, reroute your PCV lines, and modify your air intake while you're at it.

Also upgrade to the LBZ MP and lose the stock exhaust.

Ditto. At the very least cut out the muffler/cat and replace them with straight pipes. If you plan on a big tune for racing/street, you should also look into the fuel pressure relief valve shim kit. It's about $10 from PPE. It's a pain to put in, but it should prevent any low fuel codes. I'm actually putting an LBZ fuel pressure regulator in my truck soon to help with fuel. It'll flow more than the stock LLY one.

Good luck!

The Kodiak LBZ turbo inlet part number is 98011736. Look it up on gmpartsdirect.com. It's about $75 plus shipping. Good for maybe 1 mpg or more. Plus it gets rid of that goofy 6.6 resonator box. I like hearing my turbo! :D

Hey all, nobody talks numbers here, what are the improvements?
I took an 05 gmc duramax 2500 overnight, love the truck, it only gets 12mpg towing my 6'x12' cargo trailer empty, thats pretty sad, unloaded 65mph driving is about 16-17mpg, anyway to improve that if I bought the rig? Its a sweet truck with an edge chip already, is there anything else that can be done. Appreciate it!
