LLY CP3 rebuild kit

Anyone know where I can find a CP3 rebuild kit. I am thinking about rebuilding my CP3 to get more flow and faster recovery time. I am looking at aftermarket parts, but $1,400 is hard to swallow right now. If I can rebuild for a couple of hundred, I will go that route then replace later with a higher flow pump.

I am hoping that upping the flow rate on my pump will help with the stumbling and hesitation problem that has developed over the past thousand miles or so. Funny that it only does it when the engine temp is in the 135 to 155 F range. :humm:

just replace it with a lbz cp3 with a modded fca.

modding the cp3 isnt really something a guy doe out of his garage. I know of a few cp3s for sale for about 600

Where? I might be in the market for one. I cannot figure out why my truck has a bad hesitation when the outside temp is below 50 F and the engine temp is between 135 F and 155 F.

Anyone have any ideas?

:WTF:

u checked the balance rates or the rp at idle?

The banks kit I have does not check rail pressure.
How do I check balance rates?

Scan tool.

Go simple first with air and fuel filters if you haven't replaced them in a while.

:humm: Any mods?? If so, do you have a lift pump of any sorts to help get the fuel to the CP3? If you are running a big tune a lift pump is a must.

PPE tuner, Quadstealth 2, Tech 2, Efi Live, Diablo sport tuner. find anybody with one of them and u can check the balance rates to see if maybe theres a bad injector. can use EFI live to scan and take logs of what kind of rp u can hold. Use a tech 2 to run a diagnosis test on the cp3 pump.

No engine mods yet. Thinking about getting an EFI live and running it parallel to the banks. I know that will take a lot of work, but I do like the PDA from banks. I am trying to avoid replacing the CP3 (looks like it will take more time than I have patience). If it is the CP3 I will be the one to do it. Is it possible that it could be the FCA or the rail pressure relief valve?

You can shim the fprv.

it is possible there could be a bad fca

I looked at shimming the FPRV. I also thought about just replacing it to see what happens. When I installed the Air Dog the other day, I noticed that the return line from the engine was allowing fuel to return to the tank under the 10 psi that the air dog puts out. I thought this was odd.:humm:

Don't know if it makes a difference but, I am thinking about removing the FCA and opening it up to see if it is partially clogged. The ULSD sucks :argh: and leaves a lot to be desired.
