i just went to napa and bought some of that high temp gasget material its rated for like 2000* its only a few bucks for a piece 1'X2'x1/8"thick -

Never thought of using gasket material.

ya thas what i had to do i couldnt ever find a gasget for mine so i did that the next day, havent had a problem with it, no silicone needed just cut it to size with a knif and bolt her up -
