How cool!
GPS antenna? I do like the install!

Get an lower and upper strut. Start with the lower- you will love the increased handling while circling around corners.
Bigger intercooler already in?

It's a Sirius Satelite Radio antenna and the Scirocco lower K member is already installed and I have a vintage Neuspeed upper bar once I do some intake replumbing.
Intercooler will go where the battery is once I reposition the battery to the bed.
Do these projects ever stop ?

HM, I don't know if you know- google this Intercooler:
"Mercedes Sprinter LLK intercooler" it's a 90€ piece and can handle pressures without problems up to 24psi. It is a very common upgrade in germany and the biggest intercooler which may fit without modifications- its huge!
I used it in my Golf, sits between the lights and uses all space!

1.6L TD, 71hp, cheap engines, direct swap, reliable but sensitive to heat. oil cooler is mandatory.
1.9L TD, 75 hp, rare and difficult to get.

Both engines offer a lot of extra power- VW tuned them for reliability.

A lot of work, you have to have the complete harness, the sensors, the lock, engine mounts...

A 1.6TD will go 125mph with ease. That should be enough.

I looked into installing a new TDi myself, but the electronics alone were enough to scare anyone. Add to that the need for a cable shifted transmission and all the custom mounts and it's a nightmare.
Get an AAZ (1.9) like mine and modify it. It's certainly got enough to satisfy this old Speed Freak.
BTW, the 1.6 is only 57 horsepower, I believe.
