Well, the 96 F250 has a 5 speed with a dual disc clutch.
My 06 Dodge is a fully built 48RE. I haven't done very many hooks with mine. You will be ok with either, just the auto is more expensive to build up to handle it. Nice thing is its no harder to drive after its built. The 96 is a bear to drive, the clutch is VERY heavy. |

The ZF holds up prety good?
