very nice captn, I need to find some 1" plate to water jet a new ring to go on the channel I have so I can get to the 3.75" elongated hole some sleds require now. you may want to add vertical gussets from that mounting point down to the plate on an angle. being elongated like that puts alot of stress on it and it will bend. -

Yeah sled stops. Keep the sled from tearing up the bed of the truck if it stops suddenly. Like if a tranny or axle breaks -

Captn.............the design of yours I like best, I do alot of structural welding and can see that the gusset is well thought out -

Looks good, only thing I wpuld think about is making that brace smaller so it will tuck up under the truck more -

Whitmore- Thanks alot, I love big beefy steel. Everything is triple pass welded so I hope it wont fail.

Rswords- I was thinking the same thing. I know that is gonna be more leverage on the rear than I will proberly want. I think I am gonna go with it, and see how the truck handles it. I am making some suspention stops right now. -

everyone please remember when welding anything over 3/8 inch thick please bevel the edges to maximize penatration.........rather than just having a surface weld -
