Why the 1/2" larger ? most organizations are 3" if the hook is binding up tell the sled owner to buy a smaller hook instead of making all the pullers change what they put they put together for most every other oraginazation.

I was told they made something on the hooks themselves to help keep them locked in their. I don't know how many sleds out there are doing this but we pull all kinds of sleds around here. Old Iron Side, Palstine dyno, Track Boss II,III, Might Mac, just to name a few. At the Eaton(Dekalb) pull the announced this and I also confirmed it with my local pull organizer and thats what he told me. -

probably putting a lip on the tip of the hook so it will be harder for it to come out....... -
