Total weight. Just curious as to what kind of fuel mileage everyone is getting around those weights. -... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

Not on a daily basis by any means but seasonal I pull that weight and never have dropped down below 14mpg and that was the lowest, probably average 15-16mpg. This country road drivin. I won't do these weights on highway with my truck anymore. Just to old and don't have that kind a trust in it anymore. -

Thanks Bubba, just trying to get a feel as to what direction I'm heading on my next truck. I just briefly looked at the 2011 Dodge Ram Chassis Cab and I'm very impressed. -

New trucks are a whole new ball game. Personally I would never trade my old one for one a these new ones in any brand. If I had the money to spend on a new one I'd spend half the amount on a complete rebuild of an older model. -

I drive a 2005 Peter Built Roll off every day for work with a 330 cummings in it with a modified comptuer and hauling garbage and debree I only get about 5-6 mpg, but on the other hand my 05 F-250 with the 6.0 edge attiude 4" striaght pipes, I just did the work 2 weeks ago and went a total of 212 miles puliing 3 quads plus the trailer (total wieght 12,000lbs or so ) and it only took me 5 gallons of fuel I saw an amazing increse of fuel milage and I was very impressed, I really dont know if it help at all but Im just happy with my results -

only thing i can say is must have been the diesel treatment, what grade fuel do you run 40 or 42, they used to have D1-45 over here in NY untill they switched to that ultra low sulfer sh*t -

I tow fairly heavy alot, grossing 24,000 to 33,000. I will get anywhere from 7 to 11 out of my dodge. It usually stays around the 9 or better but on the curvy hilly backroads around here you are working it all the time on and off the throttle. -

I pulled this from Seattle,WA to Columbia,SC and I averaged about 9-11 mpg depending on what part of the country I was in. Out there through Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming it was around the 9 range. Once I got out of those mountain passes and the continental divide and got into souther Wyomin and western Nebraska, from there on in to Columbia I did much better. Your rear gear is gonna come in to play here too. I've got what I think is a 4:10 with 35" tires. I'll run about 70/75 at 2K rpm. -

I'm thinking you might have 3.54 running 2k at 70-75. I run around 2k @ 65 with 4.10's. But you do have taller tires maybe your right. I don't know -
