Galaxy or Connex is the only way to go. I've got an old Galaxy 33 in my pickup with a RoadKing mic. If you want to be heard, thats the way to go

You don't need to spend big money on a radio. Just get a good radio with a good antenna (don't be cheap on the ant.) and some good quality coax and make sure you get the SWR set and you should be able to talk for miles. A good peak and tune job on a radio is always a good idea too. - |

Ok, here you go. If you wanna get it all in one, here's what you buy and you'll spend about the same amount of money. It's a Galaxy 98VHP, it's a newer radio and has about 200W built into it. That way, all you have to do is buy a good antenna, make sure it's grounded good and start blowin people's windows out when you key up. Try radioactiveradios.com, this guy Mr. Radioactive builds some badas* radios. -

a few days ago i went and got a polamar 250 linear amp, had my cb pecked and tuned for the second time and had it watched for the amp. i to am using a road king mic. -
