not sure if this is the right forum to put this thread in; but I'm looking for a way to get a pickup bed from central CA to MN. pretty much any freight company needs it to be on some sort of pallet/container, not sure how to go about doing that. anyone have any idea how much a 2nd gen ram longbed weighs? based on the forklift, me and another guy lifting the thing off it's maybe around 300 lbs...??
also thinking that a car hauler MIGHT be interested in taking it on their trailer but I'm imagining most car haulers drive alone and don't really have the means of moving a truck bed around - loading/unloading. I guess that'd work if the guy buying the bed had 4 or 5 guys to carry the thing. you guys got any ideas? |

Have Your Talked To A Local Freight Company? I Think That Will Be Your Best Bet.. Smaller Companies May Compete With Price - But It Would Require Special TLC.

yeah, most of the freight companies are around $1k and want it to be crated/paletized somehow. my dad's parents are driving their escalade from phoenix to MN (they're snowbirds) and usually trailer a car but they won't be this time, so we're renting a one way uhaul trailer and putting it on that...
