Thank you!!!
Im about 1.500" - 1.750" roughly lowered. Im hoping it will be around 2.000" if it settles down. BUT then again I also think I want to go another inch or two lower but Ill just wait and see. Only thing with that is I would have to buy new coils OR cut the old ones... and I dont want to really cut a coil. The back end is 2.250" taller than the front |

i wouldnt cut the old ones, doesnt that cause the springs to be real uh springy or spongy feeling?? Or is that heating them to make them squish??

If you heat the spring it will collapse, Ive seen guys on compD cut them with a band saw or right angle grinder (slowly).... but my biggest issue is the top of the spring from factory has a 3/4 coil on top that is flat... If I cut that off then its just the nub going up hill that will be pressing into the rubber boot..... thats what Im not a fan of

the truck looks good man nicely done. yea cutting and or heating up coils usually isnt the greatest idea if ya really wanted to go crazy you could cut the coil bucket out and raise it up an inch or two and still have the same nice coils it just a thought tho.

Looks great! I am have been considering lowering mine for a while now. I just got some new 315s so it's gonna be a while. I plan on taking out my 2" spacer up front and then dropping the back 2" or more to make it level.
Have yall seen these? They say its for the 94-97s only though??? Lowering Suspension Drop Coil Kit - 1034 by Ground Force Suspension Here's the rear. http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/Bel...ng-Kit/601777/ Last edited by SuperDave4x4; 08-18-2009 at 06:18 PM.. |
