What would be a good set of traction bars for a 97 Dodge 2500 that is going to be used sled pulling. I have a 2" Pro Comp leveling kit on it with Air Lift air bags in the back. -... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

I just helped dodgehunter84 make some for his truck. they got 4 hooks on em and never had a problem. It was pretty slick how he made them. PM him and he woiuld be glad to get you a parts list. he maybe had 80 bucks in them. The reason being he got 4 hind joints (sp) for tractor 3 point hitches at rural king. -

I would make them using spring hangers off another truck and drag link off a semi truck to adjust them. -

So I spent about half my day with a couple friends making a set of bars to get me through the pulls this weekend. I'll take some pics tomorrow once we finish. But we got 80 steel bars from my work and we drilled pin holes through both ends of the bar then we bolted on the 3 point hitch (thanks twinstackpete379) hook ups from an old Ford 8N tractor.

Tomorrow I'm going to get some heavy duty bolts from work and hook up the bars. Once I get back from Denver on Tuesday, depending on how these bars hold up, I may keep them and get them painted and modify them for good looks or if it all goes to hell, back to the drawing board. -
