Default 4x4 launch

Just wondering best way to do a 4hi launch in a 5 speed. Do you run the whole 1/4 in 4hi or do you kick it into 2hi after you get cruising?

Just worried running the 4 wheel drive up to 90 to 100+ would be bad for the t case and slow the times down.

i'm sure i just opened a real can of worms by asking since everyone has their own method but looking for suggestions

You will not be able to switch out of 4w until the load is taken off. I run 12.42 108 mph in 4wd. Launch to traps, as you go through the traps and realease the load you can shift out of 4w before you start to turn onto the return. The turning is what is hardest on 4wd not the speed for that short of time. I am an auto but still, until the load is taken off you cannot switch to 2wd.

well in a manual i'm not sure a 4wd launch is needed. that's just me. i don't like partially engaging the clutch and burning it off trying to spool the turbo. my .02 unless you give it some throttle when you let out the clutch and you're having wheel spin problems.
