They're actually quality weapons. Well I can actually vouch for two. I have the .357 hi-polished stainless revolver Model 689, with 6" bbl, and the Baretta 92f clone (dont remember the model # and Im too lazy to open the gunsafe to check) in 9mm, also stainless. Both are well made weapons, and Ive never had issues with them. Both shoot very well. I bought them almost 20 yrs ago. So, Im not familiar with the new stuff, outside of whats read in gun-mags.

Im not a fan of the .44 spl. The ballistics are sub-par IMO. I have a .44 mag. Ruger super redhawk, with 8" bbl. Ive fired .44 spl out of that weapon and I would swear I could see the bullet fly down range. Could be a good round for home defense though.

I really love a big BOOM with big muzzle flash. My S&W Model 500 .50 cal. gives plenty of that...in spades. Too bad the ammo is so damned expensive.

I sold my S & W 500 MAG, it just kicked too much This handgun is a 2 inch barrel 5 shot 44 SPECIAL. The 44 SPECIAL will get the job done

Wow, thats got to be a fat stubby son of a buck! Yeah, .44 spl will certainly get the job done, for home protection and close personal protection. Still, looking down the business end of that bbl would be like looking at a cannon. Im pretty sure you can get away with +P ammo for it.

Since it's a modern gun, It should be able to fire hotter loads, than the mild factory loads
