I'm trying to figure out how to do my lights. What do you guys think? Picture 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5?

The red lights would go all the way across the toolbox.

Me? I didn't mount any of mine yet. I just used tape to stick them to my toolbox to take pics. Plus mine are just surface mount. I imagine that for the oval ones though, that you could use an appropriate size hole saw to get the ends and then cut out the middle with a die grinder, sawzall, torch, plasma cutter, or whatever.

Way off on all of those explanations. We called them chicken lights back in the 70s and 80s because back then the first guys to put a lot of lights on their trucks were chicken haulers, mostly out of north west Arkansas. A lot of those trucks ran coast to coast and they sure looked great at night. There were others that had lights but on the CB they all were called chicken haulers if they had a lot of lights. Hence the term "chicken lights". Now the term has came to mean almost any marker lights other than stock. Gotta love the look of them but make sure you install them correctly.
Not sure where those other explanations came from but I was there on the road at that time.
Stay safe out there.
Ken
