Default Rocker Rust

Well it's been four weeks and still no exhaust manifold. Ordered it from anything diesel off ebay. I have been it contact with them 4-5 days ago and they asked if the shipping address was right and i told them yes and no response . I think I got hosed Anyway the truck is off the road till the manifold, the steering column, ram air hood and the rust on the rockers get fixed. So I,m a little angry right nowIf anyone has any pointers on what to do about the rocker rust I would be greatful

I believe you would want to get rid of the rust before spraying with Linex.

How bad is the rust?

For sure you want to get it back down to bare metal! I had to do the doors on my 97 and 2000. Its just a poor dodge design right from the factory. The weep holes in the bottom of the doors were partially or fully plugged with glue from the factory which made the doors retain mosture and rot from the inside out.... But yea, get rid of the cancer make it nice and clean and paint the exposed areas with POR-15. Worked like a charm on my two trucks!

POR-15 Inc.

If you are using POR-15 you dont want to take it to bare metal. POR-15 needs the rust to be there.

Theres also another product called Rust Bullet:

Stop Rust with Rust Inhibitor Products, Rust Paint & Coating

Not true, I know you can hence the name of it... I've never had a problem with the way I described. I don't know about you but I like to get rid of the flake scaly B.S. and the metal you take it down to will not be 100% clean. Hence you get your "seasoned" metal.

And good to hear you finally got a manifold!
