here is my DIY service
first off, i pulled the plug and drained the oil my oil pan uses a 10mm alanhead. pull the plug, be sure not to drop it in the oil pan, especialy if the oil is hot. certain pans, if u drop it into the pan, it will block the hole and cause it to over fill. ![]() ![]() next, while the oil is draining, i go ahead and pull the air intake tube off, this is not nessecary, but does make it easier to get to the fuel filter. ![]() then i pull the filter off, and make sure the rubber gasket comes off with it ![]() then i take and fill the new oil filter up completly ![]() and put fresh oil on the new rubber gasket ![]() then myself, i write the milage down on the filter ![]() then put the new filter on tight ![]() next i put the air filter tube back in then i put the oil filter plug back in ![]() then i fill the motor with oil ![]() ![]() then i start the truck, check for leaks, shut it back off and check the oil level - Last edited by biged681985; 11-05-2009 at 02:10 AM.. |
