I would like to replace the ball joints of my Cherokee. Which press should I use? I'm afraid of getting one of those Chinese one's by inexperience, that will probably bend. Can't afford those hydraulic one's- makes no sense for two higher and two lower ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

I would like to replace the ball joints of my Cherokee.
Which press should I use? I'm afraid of getting one of those Chinese one's by inexperience, that will probably bend.
Can't afford those hydraulic one's- makes no sense for two higher and two lower joints.

Any recommendations for me? Thanks in advance! -

Just get the ball joint press from autozone. It worked on my ball joints. It won't bend, and it's free to rent. -

Renteria1217's Sig:1998.5 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9L 24v Cummins QC/SB. Replaced VP44 with rebuilt, Inline BD fuel pump mounted just outside gas tank ran with OEM lift pump. K&N Cold Air Intake, Stock 3" Straight Pipe.

Oh sorry. Didn't even notice you location. Well I just used a regular ball joint press. Aren't there places you can rent something like that from? -

Get the cheapo... Its not gonna bend the casting of the C-Clamp. Heck, I have one from Harbor Freight (Cheapo tool store if you don't know what they are, not sure they have them in Germany), and its done a dozen ball joints, a few U-Joints, and some other things it certainly wasn't intended for... Hasn't broken on me yet. -

x2. The big C clamp thing in the gray case works awesome. I've done several balljoints and U joints with one. -

Go to harbor frieght tools and get one there. i got my 12 ton there and paid $130 for it. love it and it does the job no bending i see. good luck -

66impala's Sig:2006 Chevy 3500 P/U, D/A, LLY, Cc 4X4. My LLY has the LBZ computer tune stock 360hp, instead of the stock 310hp. PPE hot + 2 w/7 settings, on setting 4. exhaust is a 5" magnaflow turbo back no kitty. ATS Diesel stage 3 turbo 3000, ATS Computer controler for the 06 & new for engine codes, AFE intake stage 2, EGR Blocked, Transgo Jr. 3.73 gears. Next ATS stage 2 trans. Yes this truck is in MAXX TORQUE MAG. in the 08 & 09 issue.

I got one from Summit years ago and it works great. Had to make a couple extra adapters tho. -
