Dickies are worthless because whenever I lay on my back everything falls out of the pockets. Does anybody make work pants that are inexpensive and have pockets that don't suck? -... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

Look at Carharrt. The double front lined bibs are tough as they come...well worth the money. -

I spend a lot of time kneeling in bilge slime on the bottom of boats; my pants tend to get wet and smelly. I'd prefer pants thin enough to dry quickly and cheap enough to throw away when they get coated in oily sea-spooge.

Dickies would be perfect if it wasn't for the piss-poor pocket design that dumps everything (cell phone, pocket knife, dollar coins) on the floor (into the bilge, underneath the engines, into the bilge pumps) whenever I lay on my back. I want, like, Dickies with Levi's pockets. -

I used to get some good jeans called Diamond Cut Jeans but all the local stores quit sellin em last year. They were cheap, comfortable and lasted as long as Levi's if you can find em on the net someplace. -

I get what you're saying on the thin pants.....the carhartts are a bit thick to dry like that. Maybe try some light weight cargo pants or something. -

The Captain just gave me the idea here, sounds like what your lookin for is the lightweight/Summer Military cargo pants. They are designed to do everything you just mentioned and more and can be had cheap through ebay and all those places. -

Wally World has some good Wrangler work pants. Plenty of variety with cargo pockets, cell phone pockets, etc. -

if you can't find anything to fit the bill try sewing some velcro into the pocket tops and just hook them together and keep your stuff inside. -

the thing about the carhart pants i dont like is that that dont have enough pockets, and i have torn a few pairs just from setpping up onto something while i have something in my pocket.

i have a pair set of red cap pants, and they have a looser fit on the thighs with the same size waist, and they have cargo pockets on the side, i never had a problem with anything falling out of the cargo pockets and they are pretty roomy -

Look into Snickers work wear. they aren't too heavy, good reinforcements, great pockets, and some styles of thier britches have Knee pads built into them. They are the coolest work pant I've seen. My friend Is freshly from Norway and Snickers are all he wears to work. I believe they are made in Sweeden. I have looked at them on ebay as well.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Oh yeah, I forgot, they are called Snickers in Sweeden, but because of the American candybar having the copy right on that name, they are called Skillers work wear here in the states -

I use those BETA workwear called pants. They have these Cordura nylon covered Knees and you can insert those paddings into them. Big pockets, well made. If you throw them in the washer, they always come out clean, no matter what was sticking on them. -
