Default 1993 Ford F-250

I found a dodge pickup I wanna buy so i'm going to try to sell this truck. It's a 1993 Ford F-250 with a 7.3L idi diesel motor and a zf 5 speed. It was naturally aspirated when I got it, but I put a factory ford turbo kit on it. It has about 4" of lift and 35''s. It will probably need new rubber. The fuel pump is cranked all the way and it will have a south bend con ofe clutch with a solid flywheel (good for 450hp) instead of a dual mass flywheel. It's an extended cab long bed and I'll add pics later. Asking $5,000 I just put a return line kit on it, and I have also done a compression check about 2 months ago and it was 400psi on all 8 cylinders. It also has a new fuel filter. Clutch right now is slipping but I have that south bend clutch on the way and will install it before it is sold.

Thanks,
Jake

It also has a boost and pyro gauge. I also have a set of 5" aussie stacks that I will sell with the truck for 5300 or I will get them put on for 5500.

Bump, Still got it. I put the clutch in it and it runs good! Put down 153hp and 371lb ft. Only making 5 pounds on the dyno. I think a bad turbo is the culprit. With a fresh turbo this truck would make 200+hp and 400+lb ft.

Damn, it sounds like u know ur stuff! I am a member on oilburners, as I owned a 92 IDI like yours for my first diesel. I never heard of the Gov kit. As a side note, my buddy had a gated banks kit and with the 5 speed, and minor tuning on the pump (like 1/4 turn) we could grab 15-18 PSI...... Is your kit wastegated? Shot me a PM if ya wanna talk about it. Nice truck by the way, I loved my IDI, the damn Ford wrapped around it was junk!

Bumpity bump!

Thanks cowboy! The governor spring in the 7.3 international pump is replaced with a spring from a 5.7 or 6.2 diesel gm diesel. The 5.7 will rev it up to 4400 and the 6.2 will rev up to around 4000. It's waste gated, I just think that it's a tired turbo. I hope the pump and injectors will get some more boost out of it. If it was boostin 12+ it would break that earthshaking 200hp barrier LOL
